Maximizing staff experience

A HIS consisting of a highly integrated system of comprehensive applications for the use of inpatient and outpatient settings of the hospital

Adapted from:

Seoul National University Bundang Hospital (SNUBH) by Yoo et al. (2016)

User-friendly EHR and integrative

decision support systems

Maximizing patient safety with

radio-frequency identification (RFID)

Availability of EHR on mobile devices

Data analysis &

research support

Advantages

The EHR will have mobile access at anytime and anywhere on iOS or android for better access to patients and healthcare staff

Real-time documentation and cross-checking of care practices using RFID will benefit the ward nurses during medication administration

 - Reduce redundancy and workload of nurses to key in records into the system.

The EHR is giving medical staff the freedom to personalize the interface to suit their preferences

The EHR will also have an integration with the computerized prescribing order entry (CPOE) whereby prescribers will be able to prescribe medications based on patients’ medical and medication history available on the EHR directly and then received by pharmacists for screening and further medication supply. This will then reduce the cost as well as medication errors

With clinical data warehouse (CDW), continuous monitoring of quality patient safety and care will meet the demand for clinical quality improvement through extensive research by healthcare staff and researchers
