MODEL USED FOR THE PROPOSED TECHNOLOGY
Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model (EMRAM) developed by Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS)
Commonly cited EMR maturation models in the world as its scoring approach has been applied to over 10,000 hospitals in the US, Canada, Europe, the Middle and Far-East and Australia.
An eight-stage model (0-7) to measure hospitals which employ EMRs for optimization of patients’ treatment outcome and smooth hospital management with the aim at achieving near paperless environment
The model HIS at SNUBH used in this project has been accredited with HIMSS Analytics EMRAM stage 7 hospital in October 2010. It is notably the first hospital outside of the US to be rated as such, and the rating was revalidated in March 2016
Prince Court Medical Centre is the only hospital in Malaysia to be awarded with EMRAM stage 6
